Circuit 2 - Sintra, Cabo da Roca and Cascais
This day trip, departing from Lisbon we draw our destiny towards Sintra, a beautiful romantic village at the foot of the Serra de Sintra, whose unique characteristics have made it a UNESCO World Heritage Site for the "Cultural Landscape of Sintra" - ie both the natural and built heritage of the village and mountain are regarded as such. In the nineteenth century, Sintra was the first focus of European Romantic architecture. Visit to Pena Palace, the only example of medieval royal palaces in Portugal; a village ex-libris, so have fun with some free time to walk the village streets that once enchanted kings and inspired poets. Also find many shops selling local crafts souvenirs, elegant tea rooms and let yourself fall into temptation with the famous local sweets - queijadas "" and "pillows". We will have a free time for lunch.
In the afternoon, we will forward the beautiful Atlantic coast to Cabo da Roca and from there to the beach of Guincho Surfers Paradise and from there continue to the cosmopolitan Cascais, visiting the Hellmouth and then through the Estoril Coast, where we will have a panoramic view of the Casino and its gardens and the beauty of the coast along the river Tagus to Lisbon.
